CIE Group
As part of the Irish government’s plan to maximise the use of public transport, CIE and its companies have been involved in a major investment programme funded by the National Development plan as well as EU co-funding. Bracken Public Relations handles various aspects of PR for the CIE Group of Companies and has for example been involved in devising the PR strategy for the Building for the Future schools initiative, co-sponsored by the CIE Group of Companies and Independent Newspapers.

HALIFAX
In 2006, Bank of Scotland (Ireland) announced its move into retail banking with the opening of the first branches of its retail distribution network. Retail banking was rebranded to Halifax. Halifax is the first completely new high street bank in Ireland for over a century. Halifax currently has 33 branches open around Ireland.
